I hope you had a good Christmas Eve and a great start to the year. For me, the first hours of 2016 can be summed up in two words: knitting & snow.
After two days of euphoric hibernation, it is time for the small annual report.
In 2015 I knitted 15 projects personal: 5 cups , 4 shawls of which 1 crochet, 2 vests , 1 sweater , 2 covers including one for baby and 1 visual .
Among these works, 3 were offered to my surroundings ♥
In addition to these completed projects, I need to count my ” In progress “, who talked a lot about them … I still have to date 6 projects in progress .
Because they did not fit in my suitcase I had to resign myself to giving up 4 in France: 2 sweaters in cotton, 1 cover in crochet ( the eternal As-we-Go! ) and 1 snood in mohair.
And on my Canadian needles I’m knitting right now: 1 sweater and 1 pair of socks .
On the blog, I wrote 23 articles but I only made you 1 tutorial and I’m sorry.
I will not count in this report the professional projects, but they were numerous because I knitted a lot in my little shop last winter and it was a very nice experience of 2015.
In January 2015, I started a 1 Year 12 Hats it was a beautiful failure. After the month of March and after three beautiful hats I completely abandoned the challenge and I am not super proud.
This summer I did 2 festivals around wool and knitwear and that was very cool!
Since the month of August I am back in Montreal and I found my knitting girlfriends from Stitch n’Bitch!
I also give a lot of knitting lessons for a few months, I still love to teach and transmit and I can not wait to start again next September.
**** Resolutions 2016 ****
My first knitting resolution: stop accumulating the “work in progress”. I lose a lot of time in the realization of my works by scattering me as I do. Moving has allowed me to start a new wool stock and thus to start on a good basis to better manage my knitting projects. We believe it, this new year will be a productive year because organized!
My second resolution concerns the blog : I would like to publish new tutorials. I have mostly run out of time in the last two years and I regret it because I really like sharing tips and techniques with you. We will resume this very quickly with a very cool tutorial that comes this week and who will talk about hot cups!
And to finish a big thank you! Thank you for following me since all these years, thank you for the messages of encouragement when I had a slack and thank you for this huge sharing of our creative adventures that we exchange daily on social networks ♥ I wish you a beautiful and Happy New Year, creative, inspiring, enriching and above all, filled with sweet meshes and beautiful projects.
