Our Knitting-Tea was held this weekend near Bagnères de Luchon in the beautiful setting of the refuge d ‘ Hospice of France . We have named this new meeting Tricot-Thé “Spring” with the certainty of spending a bucolic and sunny afternoon facing the summits slightly snow-covered by the remains of the winter season … Illusions! The summer pre-taste of previous weeks was only a decoy and this weekend, the winter has decided to make us its comeback! Our Spring Tea-Knit took place under big flakes, ten inches of snow and an access road to the limit of being passable. Once again it took courage to come to us Sunday afternoon!
We were still eight participants taking with us Ingrid, the manager of the place, who was entitled to his initiation in cross stitch. On the menu this afternoon there was embroidery, crochet and a lot of knitting, all punctuated with cups of teas with génépi, hot chocolates and tarts (house) with blueberries!
For the works in progress, we had: crochet amigurumis, the continuation of the embroidery Hello Kitty disguised as deer , a future painting embroidered on linen, the beginning of a teddy bear on canvas Aida, a striped rib scarf, a jersey sweater, a sock, a dress at the point of Astrakhan and Jacquard mittens.
A big thank you to the participants, it was a very good afternoon!
It was my last Knitting-Tea in Luchon, I pass the torch of the organization. There will soon be other Knitting-Tea coming soon, the infos are to watch at the haberdashery of Luchon.
