Because I but the Fluffigkeit and the beautiful ones big stitches Great, I’ve got the new video course from makerist “Brioche: Patent Pattern for Beginners” granted. The trainer Daniela Johannsenova brings with her lightness and quiet style this technique super understandable.
I immediately tried two projects a loop for me alone and one Shawl collar for my brother.
How to knit full patent in rounds?
- Stop as usual, or perfect is the Italian stop (see also Double Face , but only with one thread)
- the stop must have an even mesh size
- Set the stitch marker at the beginning of the lap
1 round: 1 st, 1 ml, fld. repeat until the end of the round
2nd round: 1 round lower, 1 M li, fld. repeat until the end of the round
3rd round: 1 st, 1 ml lower st, fld. repeat until the end of the round
Repeat the 2nd and 3rd round until the desired length or height is reached.
In the first few rounds you have to concentrate very much to be able to stab deeper in the stitches. It gets easier, the more rounds are made, because the meshes get bigger. 🙂
How do I knit right stitches?
Unlike the normal right knit …
… you sting between the V of the first right-hand stitch …
… and gets the thread through normally. The stitch wanders onto the right needle.
How do I knit left stitches?
Thread normally before the needle …
… but with the needle in the first left stitch …
… catch up on thread (can sometimes be tricky)
and slide normally onto the other needle.
A little tip to the stitch markers:
I have set a marker for the first pattern round (2nd round). In the second pattern round (3rd round) I chained a second to the first one, so I knew, now I’m in the second pattern row and now I have to knit lower-cut on the left side. So I was able to stop in the middle of the row without losing the “thread”.
Since I am totally fascinated by two-tone patent I also took the second course from Daniela Johannsenova. You may be curious, there will be even more projects in the full patent.
