Continued from Tutorial 1 – Knit double face, cast on stitches
Hold the last stitches with your thumb before turning. Simply twist the knitting needle around yourself.
Now the first green stitch is in front. Keep the stitches tight, otherwise the first green stitch will dissolve quickly.
Now we grab the blue thread and put on the knot finger ring at the latest.
Thread the blue thread into the guide …
… and lead over the index finger and wrap a few times around the little finger.
Now take the green thread …
… and thread through the second guide and also wrap around the little finger (I always take the ring finger). Some people prefer to thread the second thread under their index finger. Here you can simply test several variants and find the most comfortable variant for you.
This first knitted series belongs to the stop and is not counted.
The green thread, as in the picture, with the middle finger squeeze down, applies only to this first stitch, so this does not fall down.
The first stitch is always knitted on the right. For this first row, it is knitted on the right, which means that it can be cut into the stitch from the back.
Make sure that both threads are behind the needle.
Grab the green thread and catch up.
The first stitch on the right is already on the needle.
Put both threads to work. How to pierce under the threads in the stitch for left knitting.
I like to use my thumb to grab the blue thread and kick off to the left.
Already the first left knitted stitch is on the needle. Done is the first double stitch. Continue until only the running knot is on the needle.
Now there is only the running knot on the left needle. Just let it slide down and dissolve.
The needle in a clockwise direction …
…rotate. The threads must intersect once, so that the edge stitches look nice evenly. Be careful, just cross once, not two or three times.
It continues with Tutorial 3 , We knit the first row.
Knitting tips and tips for the second tutorial:
If you want to make the thread management easier, you should get a knit ring. He is also very helpful for multi-colored knitting. When knitting without a knitting ring, a thread is placed from above and from below around the index finger. I have my knitting ring here Bought.
When knitting always pay attention to the thread tension. Both threads should always be the same “tight”.
