Knit doubleface, bind off stitches – Tutorial 5

Now we want ours Double knit project , For a beautiful Abkettkante as well as the attack that is of course not in the conventional way, but something different. ­čÖé

How this works, I want to show you on the following pictures. With my many step-by-step pictures, I divide this lesson into two parts for the sake of clarity.

First, a thread that you can freely choose is cut off.

Measure the other thread, which you use for decoiling generously 3x in the width of the piece of knitting. Cut the thread there and thread it into a needle without a point.

Now with the needle from the left in the first left (green with us) mesh stitch ….

… and thread through …

… and pull tight. Not too relaxed, but not too tight. Please find a good mix.

Now from the right into the first right (blue) stitch and stitch over the green through the third (2nd blue) stitch.

Pull the thread through and tighten.

With the needle again from the right into the first left (green) stitch, thread through and tighten.

These first three stitches can now be “pushed” by the needle.

The following steps are repeated until the last stitch.

Of the chained stitches, the one right stitch opens a little. We will need them again in the next step.

Pierce the needle from the left through the left (green) stitch and pull through.

Tighten the thread.

Now from the right into the erected right-hand arched bow (the stitched stitch).

Insert the needle over the left (green) stitch through the next right stitch.

Pull the thread through and tighten.

It continues with Tutorial 6 , We chain the last stitches.

Knitting tips and tips for the 5th tutorial:

Cut off the thread really generously for binding off. It would be fatal if the thread is not enough there. Always tighten the thread, but do not put it too tight. Concentrate until the last stitch work.

This type of decanting is a bit tricky because you have to concentrate a bit. But this looks like our Abkettkante like the stop edge great.
