Little flashback on our last vacation in the sun … now that the rain and the cold have arrived, that the routine has returned, I plunge with pleasure in these shots filled with sun and wonderful memories …. we left some days with children and our friends , We ressourcer in Spain. More precisely in the desert of Bardenas Reales , this beautiful corner of Navarre, south of Pamplona and not so far from that of the French border (barely 2 hours). What a pleasure to leave work at 16h and to be able to meet again 3h30 later in a place so beautiful and exotic in good company …. For those who do not yet know this magical place, the desert Bardenas is lined with a multitude of diverse and varied erosion landscapes, all as beautiful as each other. The change of scenery is guaranteed! Very quickly browsing the Bardenas we discover the impression of crossing a small piece of America or, let’s be crazy, turn in one of these spaghetti western (especially for my son who is beginning to appreciate this kind of film). The children enjoyed climbing all together, exploring the small canyons dug by erosion … the big ones also had fun (see photo 5).
We established our base camp at the hotel Ruralsuite near Tudela where we were greeted very warmly by Paco and Marius. It is a hotel that offers several types of houses or apartments depending on the number of people, with all the services of a hotel, exactly what suited our needs! The kids were super happy to find that the hotel was equipped with a large trampoline, a jacuzzi, a huge garden …. and the adults were delighted to discover the beautiful spacious interior of the house, the garden organic vegetables (I have also eaten the best tomatoes of my life, if that’s all!), the beautiful olive grove …
Paco and Marius have offered to visit the Lagoon Lor … quad. I first hesitated because I had never done a quad of my life and that I am a little trouillarde and then Paco was able to encourage me and reassure me! we all went quad (I do not tell you the joy of the two great) and the two smaller were comfortably installed in the SUV driven by Marius who followed us! in short, a really well-run organization! And I did not regret this ride with the little hands of Lisenn creased to my size. We took a break to admire old olive trees over 1000 years old! unbelievable !
Many thanks again for your welcome Paco and Marius , for the evening we shared all together, for the anectodes on the Bardenas, for the tomatoes ect …. we were all delighted to have met you and to have stayed in your beautiful hotel! it is an address that is really part of my good plans, that I keep preciously (we will come back for sure) and that I wanted to share with you;)
Pssst: Stéphanie and Hugues have made a great video of our vacation! (I can not put the window of the video directly on the blog …. too much in computer science … if you have a tip for canalblog … thank you;)! here is the link :
